Scope
This Privacy Policy explains what information this website collects, how it is used, and who it may be shared with. It covers this site only, not information you give us directly as part of an existing client relationship, which is governed by our engagement with you.
Information you give us
When you use the contact form, we collect your first name, last name, email address, the subject you enter, and your message. This information is sent directly to our office by email so we can respond to your enquiry. We do not store it in a database of our own.
Please do not include information you consider confidential or privileged in the contact form before we have confirmed in writing that we are acting for you (see the "Before you send us anything" section of our Terms of Use).
Information collected automatically
To prevent spam and abuse of the contact form, we temporarily note the IP address a submission comes from, solely to limit how many messages can be sent from the same address in a short period. This is not linked to your name or stored beyond what's needed for that check.
This site uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use it: which pages are viewed and how visitors found the site, for example. Google Analytics sets cookies to do this and processes the resulting data under its own privacy policy. The information it gives us is aggregated and does not identify you individually. You can opt out using a browser extension such as Google's Analytics Opt-out Add-on, or by adjusting your browser's cookie settings. We do not currently use advertising cookies.
How we use your information
We use the information you submit to respond to your enquiry, and the information collected automatically to keep the contact form working reliably and free of abuse. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for marketing without your separate consent.
Who we share it with
We use third-party service providers to run this site and deliver your enquiry to us: for example, services that send email and host our website and its content. Each one processes data only on our behalf and under its own security practices. We do not share your information with anyone else except where required by law.
Where your information is processed
Because we use international hosting and email providers, information you submit through this site may be processed on servers outside Trinidad and Tobago.
How long we keep it
Contact form submissions are not stored in a database by this website. They exist only as the email we receive, which we keep for as long as reasonably needed to respond to your enquiry and for our records, consistent with our general practice for client correspondence.
Your choices
If you would like us to delete correspondence you've sent us, or have questions about what information we hold, contact us using the details on this site and we will address your request.
Children's privacy
This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children through the contact form.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date below reflects when it was last changed.
